Technical Data
MIC-601F
GENERAL
DESCRIPTION: MIC-601F is a heavy duty, biodegradable,
stainless steel cleaner designed for in-place cleaning
of vertical and other surfaces in meat processing
and beverage plants. The foam produced from MIC-601F
clings to any surface, thereby, increasing the contact
time of the cleaner on the soil to be removed. MIC-601F
has an A3 USDA rating.
MIC-601F is a concentrated phosphoric acid based cleaner
containing surfactants and emulsifiers for rapid penetration
of protein, lime, and other difficult to remove deposits.
MIC-601F is safe on all types of stainless steel but
mildly attacks common metals such as brass, iron,
magnesium, and aluminum. It vigorously attacks zinc
and galvanized coatings.
Foam generating cleaners reduce cost of labor, time, and amount of solution required for cleaning. It makes it easier to apply cleaning solutions while preventing the splashing experienced in spray cleaning.
PROPERTIES:
Emulsification: Rapid
pH: 2.5 at 1 oz./gal.
Wetting Ability: Excellent
Rinsing: Excellent
Specific Gravity: 9.42 lbs./gal.
Surfactants: Biodegradable
Foam: High, Stable
USE PROCEDURE: MIC-601F can be used from 1/4
oz. to 1 oz. per gallon, depending on the severity
of the soil, the type of foam generating equipment
used, and the density of foam desired. MIC-601F effectively
removes milkstones, beerstones, mineral, and proteinaceous
deposits, and light rust stains. Warm water increases
chemical activity and cleaning. Rinse alkaline cleaned
surfaces well before applying MIC-601F.
EQUIPMENT: Michigan Industrial Coating, Inc. offers a complete line of foam generators with safety features not found with stainless steel or other foam producing machines.
SAFETY DATA: Contains Phosphoric Acid. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. DO NOT INGEST. When handling, wear rubber gloves, goggles and any other appropriate equipment or clothing to avoid skin contact. Avoid contact with clothing. Should contact occur, flush skin with water; for eyes, flood with large amounts of water for 15 minutes and get medical attention. If ingestion occurs, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Drink water to dilute and get medical attention immediately. Read the Material Safety Data sheet before using.
