Liquid Iron Phosphate

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Paint Lok 550 is a liquid iron phosphate product especially formulated for use in three or five stage spray washers or in pressure washer systems. It contains a blend of highly effective biodegradable surfactants that will effectively remove soils, oils, and other contaminants while simultaneously depositing a high quality iron phosphate coating. Paint Lok 550 contains an ingredient that keeps sludge and scale build-up off the inside and outside of the risers and washer interior. This enables you to operate over an extended period of time without purging or descaling your washer. The nozzles stay cleaner longer and require less attention than with most conventional iron phosphate products.

USE PROCEDURE: Paint Lok 550 is used at 1 % to 3% by volume at 100°F to 140°F. Exposure time is 45 seconds to 1.0 minutes. It requires no break-in period. High quality coatings are obtained from the start. This product can be automatically metered into the system maintaining a constant concentration of product. For multi-stage washers, addition of soda ash may be required from time to time in order to keep pH in the operating range of 3.5 to 4.5. For pressure washers the product should be allowed to dwell on the work to be phosphated for 2 to 4 minutes and then rinsed thoroughly with water.

SAFETY DATA: Paint Lok 550 is a mild acid. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin. Should contact occur, flush skin with water. For eyes flood with water for 15 minutes and get medical attention. Read the Material Safety Data Sheet for this product before using.
