 Metal Conditioner #3

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Metal Conditioner #3 is a liquid phosphoric acid based product that effectively cleans the metal surface and removes rust. It is also used when only a simple metal treatment is required prior to painting. Rust removal is accomplished quickly due to the deep penetration and dissolving of the surface soils.

USE PROCEDURES: Dilutions of 1:4 to 1:20 with water are used dependent upon soil load, degree of corrosion, and the time period desired for rust removal. Can be used in an acid resistant immersion tank operation or a manual brush-on wipe down application. It can be used as a simple metal treatment prior to painting when no other treatment is available. It is commonly used for rust removal prior to a phosphating operation. Metal Conditioner #3 can also be used for pH adjustment in phosphating operations.

METAL SAFETY: Metal Conditioner #3 is safe on stainless steel. Although it attacks zinc and galvanized steel vigorously, it only mildly attacks steel, brass, aluminum, copper, and magnesium.

SAFETY DATA: Acidic. To avoid contact with skin and eyes, use proper protective clothing, gloves, and goggles. Should contact occur, wash skin with water. For eye contact, flush with water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention. For further information read the MSDS for this product.
