GENERAL DESCRIPTION: MetGard WDS will displace water from metal parts and deposit a thin, essentially dry, colorless film. MetGard WDS leaves no messy film and will not bleed through wrappings, boxes, and most other packaging materials. It is generally used for protection of highly finished surfaces in indoor storage or transit where it will give many months protection (up to 12 months in some applications). Although designed for indoor protection, it is also used on parts in shed storage and in some cases may be used for short outdoor exposure.
WHERE TO USE: Tools, wire, die bearings, sporting goods, wire cloth, spark plugs, razor blades, piston rings, and other automotive parts and after Black Oxide or other metal finishing.
HOW TO USE: MetGard WDS is used as received. Although it is designed for a dip application, it may be sprayed or wiped on for its corrosion preventative properties. In a dip application, the water will be on the bottom of the tank and must be drained occasionally.
