Heavy Duty Powdered Degreaser

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Cleaner 416 can be used in a variety of cleaning operations. It can be used in a single or multi-stage washers, dip, spray, vibratory and ultrasonic. It is highly alkaline and contains biodegradable surfactants that are effective in removing even the most difficult greases. Cleaner 416 is suitable for use in areas of hard water. It is safe on all types of steel but is not safe on soft metals such as aluminum, zinc, copper, brass or galvanized steel.

USE PROCEDURE: Concentration is usually 2 to 10 ounces per gallon of make up water. The effective operating temperature range is 140°F to a rolling boil. Cleaner 416 is recommended as a heavy duty cleaner covering a wide range of water and soil conditions. It possesses moderate to low foaming characteristics that permit its use over a wide operating temperature range.

EQUIPMENT: All equipment for the use of Cleaner 416 can be of mild steel. In spray equipment nozzles should be v-jet for maximum impingement. Stainless steel nozzles are preferred because of low maintenance and long life.

SAFETY DATA: Contains sodium hydroxide. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. DO NOT INGEST. When handling, wear rubber gloves, goggles and any other appropriate equipment or clothing to avoid skin contact. Avoid contact with clothing. Should contact occur, flush skin with water; for eyes, flood with large amounts of water for 15 minutes and get medical attention. If ingestion occurs, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Drink fruit juice, milk or vinegar and get medical attention immediately. Read the Material Safety Data sheet before using.
